As the year draws to a close, it is with a sense of pride and gratitude that I reflect on the milestones and accomplishments we have achieved together as part of our academic association, the University of Dar es Salaam Academic Staff Assembly (UDASA). The past twelve months have been a testament to our collective dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to academic freedom and excellence. UDASA stands as a beacon of academic freedom, social responsibility, professionalism, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, integrity, and knowledge-sharing, and I am immensely proud of the strides we have made in advancing our association. From groundbreaking inquiries and pieces of advice to insightful discussions and innovative initiatives, each of you has played an integral role in shaping the form of our association.
