Dr Chuma is a Lecturer of Applied Mathematics at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) which he represents in the UDASA Executive Committee. He obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (2019, Tanzania). He has also an MSc in Applied Mathematics and a BEd in Mathematics from the University of Dar es Salaam. Before his University education, he attended a teaching diploma course in Education at Morogoro Teachers College. His research areas include Bio-Mathematics, Ecology, Epidemiology, and Statistics.
