Dr Pauline is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Dar es Salaam, Institute of Resources Assessment (IRA) which he represents in the UDASA Executive Committee.
He holds a PhD in Geography (Climate Change Adaptation). He has over 10 years of experience in consulting and research in Eastern and Southern African Countries. His areas of interest in research and consultancy are Environmental Management, Natural Resources Management, and Climate Change Adaptation/Mitigation. He has a special interest in smallholder farmers’ vulnerability, coping and adaptation strategies to climate change (including climate variability) and other stresses. Also, he is looking at how such coping and adaptation may be constrained or enhanced given climate variability and change.
Dr Pauline has been involved in a number of climate change-related projects. As a registered Environmental Expert by NEMC, he has been involved in various Environmental Assessment projects as a consultant and reviewer.
